Engineering-led delivery
Hydrological modelling, geotechnical rigour, and disciplined construction management from feasibility to commissioning.
Yaru Hydro Power develops utility-scale run-of-river hydropower across Nepal's river basins — engineering clean energy that powers homes, industry, and a zero-carbon national grid.
A peaking run-of-river scheme engineered around a 1,116 m gross head — water is diverted at the Yaru Khola and carried through a headrace tunnel down to the forebay, a 38,000 m³ peaking pond set below the tunnel, then dropped through Pelton turbines to deliver dependable evening peak power to the national grid.
Net head 1,094.32 m — among the highest in Gandaki
Q41.9% · 61 km² catchment at headworks
10.20 MW each · 132 kV evacuation
38,000 m³ forebay pond below the headrace tunnel
Megawatts are the outcome. The work is hydrology, geology, community trust, and two decades of engineering judgement applied to every river we touch.
